We are hockey people making hockey websites. Our staff have over 100 combined years in the game of hockey as players, coaches, officials and league administrators. We have been around the game throughout our lives and know how much work you do to make your organization run.

Our start dates back to 1999 when we were asked to create a website for the Suburban High School Hockey League based in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Back then we were tracking statistics and updating standings by hand. Teams would fax score sheets following games, they would be transcribed onto spreadsheets then manually updating the league website. Every update to the website was done this way and required someone with a knowledge of HTML to complete it. It was time consuming, costly to the league and difficult to keep timely information on the website.

In 2001 work began on the first version of escoresheet. With our technical backgrounds, it was a natural transition. Version one was the basics: schedules, standings and basic scoring statistics. The SHSHL began having the teams enter the game results following the games which provided two big benefits. First, they cut their costs because they were no longer paying a statistician/web developer for updates. Second, the information was being updated almost immediately following games.

Word spread quickly at that point. We signed our second league the following season as well as several teams from the SHSHL. There has been no looking back since and we have been able to dedicate ourselves to the two things we enjoy the most: hockey and programming. As a result, escoresheet has evolved far beyond anything we ever imagined back in the days of updating those spreadsheets.
